Physical, Acadamic and Support Facilities

Swami Vivekanand Subharti University is spread in an area of about 250 acres, having large infrastructure of buildings for teaching various programmes among serene and green surroundings to promote learning. In addition, 14 Faculties have number of Classrooms, Lecture Halls, Seminar Halls, Laboratories, Libraries, and Auditorium etc. In order to maintain the infrastructure of the institutions, green campus with playing fields, and streamline the upkeep and up gradation of the campus, mainly purchase, store, accommodation department, maintenance (Civil & Electrical) department, IT Department, Security department play a major role with Horticulture and scrap department provide physical and ancillary support to the University. Chief administrative Officer along with his team of officers maintain the infrastructure of the campus, while ensuring every building has a supervisor to maintain and upkeep of the building and directly reporting to Head of the Institutions.


1. Purchase Department, based on demands raised and approved by competent authorities, initiate and procures goods in timely manner depending on University needs.
2. Store Department maintains a proper record of all incoming goods and based on demands issue to respective departments in most orderly and timely manner.
3. Maintenance Department primarily looks after the civil maintenance of all buildings and public areas and has all requisite man force to repair and rectify all possible scenarios.
4. Electricity Department ensures twenty four hour electrical supply especially in view of the Hospital running in the campus with the help of generator sets, sub stations, transmission lines and electrical installations.
5. IT Department takes care of modern day requirement of maintenance & updation of all records through computers maintain the database takes care of all requirements and repairs whether it is system related or Wi-Fi complains from students.
6. The Security Department has large fleet of different cadres of security personnel to keep round the clock vigil of the University Campus. It keeps check on all ingoing and out-going vehicles of the Campus to maintain the peace in the campus. It includes a special women fleet of guards for safety of women.
7. Horticulture Department maintaining the greenery in the campus, the fields, lawns, sports grounds and all gardens to ensure University environment remain peaceful and conducive to learning. It is also involved in associated horticulture activities of preparing manure, vermin- compost, use of reusable waste etc.
8. Construction Department is responsible for the always ongoing construction and also for repair as part of ongoing University expansion while maintaining the upkeep of the infrastructure of the campus with regular painting, repair etc. It is also involved in the water harvesting, regular use and reuse of water, STP plant, Water drainage system, etc.
9. Scrap Department maintains proper disposal of waste and e -waste material through category- wise predefined methods.
